On November 20, 2023, the "International Conference on IPR (*2)" hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII*1) was held in India, in which the 88av 888 (JPO) participated.

During his opening speech, Mr. Katsura, Deputy Commissioner of JPO, noted the recent strengthening of economic ties between Japan and India, and expressed his desire to contribute to the further deepening of IP cooperation between the two countries for the sake of further technological development and growth of both countries.
In addition, a JPO expert also gave a presentation on the JPO's support measures for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, including intellectual property finance, and international harmonization of patent application documents at the IP5 (*3).

Through these efforts, JPO will continue to promote cooperation with India in the field of intellectual property and to develop the intellectual property environment in India.
